The Finance Department of the Housing Authority of the City of Corpus Christi is responsible for all financial activites of the Housing Authority. These activities include employee payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking relationships, and preparing annual budgets.Current staff includes; the Chief Financial Officer, Accounting Supervisor, Financial Specialist, Accounts Payable Clerk, and Accounts Receivable Clerk.
In addition to the primary duties of the Finance Dpartment, the staff also works with the external auditors who perform an annual examination of the accounting and operational functions of the Housing Authority. The Finance staff also maintains a working relationship with the Housing and Urban Development officials at the local field office in San Antonio, Texas.
Since all functions within the Housing Authority have a financial component, maintaining and strengthening departmental relationships is a continuous goal of the Finance Staff.
