Norma Hernandez was appointed to the Board of Commissioners in July 2017. She has worked in the public sector for over 20 years and was a liaison for the Housing Authority and Police Department as a Crime Control Board Member.

Norma Hernandez is a grant writer and has worked with several Housing Authorities and Non-Profit organizations over the past several years.  Additionally, she is currently working with the Corpus Christi Association of United Teachers School Employees.

Norma is a graduate of the University of Maryland and previously attended Texas A&M Kingsville. Ms. Hernandez has been married for over 40 years and has two children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
